What's Next?
Existing Market.
What's next... my business offers a service to recycle your old clothing and create a new product from the materials. We will now create a gallery and shop that will showcase customers creations as well as our design teams creations.
Interviews... after interviewing with three customers, two of them described their experiences as fun and exciting. These two mentioned that they would love to see an actual store for the company where customers can bring in their clothes and create with designers right there on the spot or by appointment. Another customer told me that the market has been hit with many competitors when it comes to artistic design of clothing. I reassured her that the idea behind the service is to grant sustainability to the fashion and arts industry.
The Future... in order to grow in our existing market we need to express the creations that have been created thus far to future customers. We may do this with pop-up shops, fashion shows, more advertisements, or store space. Customers continued to express to us that if they could come in and see past creations they would be more inclined to create based on their knowledge that the designs are well put together. We ensure the very best seamstresses and hope that customers know our values for fashion and creativity. Pop-up shops seem most likely and we are excited to try that idea out. This will give us creative space to showcase our business as a full brand and not for an extended period of time.
We hope that our future in this market continues to grow and hopefully showcases in design districts around the world can enable us more credibility. We are also looking forward to partnering with well-known designers to then help customers in the creation lab to create designs they will love. A gallery would be incredible because many of our customers are artists themselves and enjoy seeing their designs come to life, thus seeing their designs on a wall or in person in front of crowds will gain them experience for their own futures. We hope to help the arts and fashion community in every way we can.
As our community grows, we hope that a creation lab is possible. To have customers be able to create hand in hand with our designers their own designs would be a customer experience like no other. Hopefully this will be possible as our art credibility increases.
New Market.
A radically different market... instead of reaching out to the artists and fashion gurus, lets look into the market of business men. This market incorporates men who would go to work throughout the day, workout at night, cook dinner and go to bed; on repeat.
Value for people in that market... this market may not see value in a industry like the one my business is in. They may see it as pretentious or pointless. Business professionals do not often need new or creative clothing, their clothes last them decades. Although, we can shift a piece of our brand away from creative arts and into the working-class market closet. This may require new tailors on our end, and new marketing techniques as well in order to reach these individuals.
Interviews... after interviewing people in this market, they mentioned the unlikely-hood of contributing to the inventory. Although, they did seem to agree that often they have old work attire in the back of their closet they just let sit there. Thus, I mentioned to them how easy it would be to make use of those old clothes, they each seemed to be on board. I then described that we would then open up a market for workplace attire to our customers, creating a collection of sophisticated, simpler clothing pieces that could be worn in a professional environment.
Reflection... I was surprised that I was able to involve this market in my business, being that it is steered heavily towards creativity, arts, and fashion. Although, opening the market in this way grows our business heavily and creates a direction that could be beneficial to our brand. It would be difficult to change the brand to incorporate this market but it would definitely be possible.
