~ The resourceful use of old clothing allows for recycled fashion to be possible, clothes are reused rather than thrown away as trash.
Valuable: everyday the environment receives more and more support for change, as humans the environment is or friend and we must take care of it the best way we can; thus, by reducing the landfill we put on it everyday by recycling what is already in our world
Rare: this is somewhat rare but not all that rare since environmental change is becoming a more supported issue
Inimitable: this is imitable, although we want it to be
Non-Substitutable: this cannot be substituted because it is one of our main focuses
Customer Outreach - social media, online content
~ Our online content has the ability to reach audiences on a broad spectrum, available via app, web, and social media.
Valuable: this generation feeds on social media and technology, therefore having platforms on every server is vital and thus makes us more valuable for search engine optimization
Rare: somewhat rare since we have content over all platforms instead of just a few like most businesses have, therefore reaching a greater number of customers
Inimitable: 100%, copyrighted content, secure sites and data, completely unique content
Non-Substitutable: this cannot be substituted with anything nearly as compelling
Small Business Appeal - during economic crisis
~ During the time of COVID-19 Pandemic outbreak, small businesses are in need of help, thus people are more likely to look into small business ideas while they have more time to spare to look into what they are all about. The world is focusing on small businesses now more than ever.
Valuable: I think this is valuable because it is important to have small businesses in our community, they fix needs that large companies could never
Rare: it is rare to have an economic crisis to this magnitude, although the appeal of small businesses is not so rare, people love them; what is rare is how long the appeal lasts
Inimitable: not imitable, small businesses are unique to themselves; there are businesses similar to ours out there, but not in its' entirety
Non-Substitutable: small business forever
Strong Leadership - abilities to increase gains over time
~ My leadership qualities will help produce a team that will ultimately succeed beyond limitations and thus will produce greater gains financially and an increase in customers.

Rare: rare quality to possess
Inimitable: my leadership abilities cannot be imitated, my leadership style encompasses a variety of skills built on the foundation of a variety of experiences;
Non-Substitutable: this is non-substitutable and will only change for the better
Social Capital - University Greek Life & Magazine Organizations
~ I am a part of Greek Life at UF and a student-led fashion and lifestyle magazine organization; granting me many marketable opportunities.
Valuable: the valued customers are involved in these organizations
Rare: it is rare to be a part of multiple organizations that encompass your valued customers
Inimitable: not unique set of targeted customers, others could have same social capital
Non-Substitutable: we need this group of people as our customers
Social Capital - Innovation Academy
~ I am a part of Innovation Academy at UF, this gives me another community of students and facility on campus to run business ventures by. In the academy we create innovations and are taught and granted the tools to do so.
Valuable: very valuable resource to have, grants me a minor in innovation studies; being innovative is vital in creating a business
Rare: somewhat rare, small number of students at the university, although growing
Inimitable: very unique minor, no other school offers such community
Non-Substitutable: extremely helpful and highly regarded, non replaceable
Social Capital - Music Event Planner, House Music Community
~ I am a part of House Hats Collective, an event planning and hosting music production company spanning across 7 different cities; granting a large community of possible customers. As well as, advertising and vending abilities at events.
Valuable: it is valuable to have a social capital that reaches so many regions of just one state, the potential for customers is colossal
Rare: having this position on a team is rare, event vending is a strong advertising tool
Inimitable: this could be imitated by anyone in event planning also involved in a business venture
Non-Substitutable: I need this community of artists to grow and make sense of this business
Vendor Capabilities - Local Events; University & Community
~ Being able to showcase our clothes and ideas at tabling opportunities on campus and at local events is vital to grow this business and give it a name around town and beyond.
Valuable: it is extremely valuable to have vendor opportunities
Rare: it is not rare because anyone can have these opportunities
Inimitable: most businesses vendor if they can
Non-Substitutable: cannot substitute doing this, social media and online advertising is not enough (known from experience)
Financial Capital - Problem Solving Appeal; Business & Self Mantra
~ Recycling is an economic cycle that gives the side of business benefiting from the recycling a greater financial capital; we are trying to solve an old problem by making something new.
Valuable: extremely valuable to have a business and self mantra built around recycling
Rare: rare to have finances depend on recycling
Inimitable: anybody could have their financial capital run this way
Non-Substitutable: solving problems as a mantra grants a non substitutable financial business ideal
Organizational Culture - Team Communications & Outreach
~ Hosting morning meetings to start off the day and get the team on the same page for what the day needs to encompass gives clarity to everyone; mid day meetings twice a week will keep everyone on task. Also, google doc files holding everything about the business to keep everyone informed, enabling each team member the ability to come up with ways to grow the business.
Valuable: very valuable to have strong team communications
Rare: rare to have everyone on the same page at all times using a variety of strategies
Inimitable: other businesses can use similar strategies
Non-Substitutable: need this organizational culture to run smoothly
My top resource is customer outreach; social media and online content. Today's generation is centered around social media and online shopping. Our business relies on customers creating their new clothes from their old clothes via our website or application. Thus, technology outreach is vital. Social media holds an important role in advertising and marketing as well as customer communications and data analysis.
